The Knot’s Ones to Watch 2023

the knot announces the ones to watch 2023 hannah forsberg

Elated to share that we’ve been selected as one of the honorees for The 2023 Ones to Watch by The Knot! Being recognized alongside 25 other wildly talented wedding industry professionals for outstanding work and dedication to excellence is beyond humbling. Feeling incredibly grateful to our amazing peers for their support and inspiration, and beyond excited for what the future holds.

While we encourage you to visit The Knot to read up on the other incredible honorees and the history behind this recognition, one of the primary things that stood out to us is that this honor was extended to 26 rising stars of the wedding business who are creating exceptional work. Those recognized are not only to wedding photographers like myself but also to planners, videographers, and rental companies, to name a few of the other disciplines. One thing that we all share in common is that we are each dedicated to serving our couples well, and create experiences for each celebration unlike any other, and challenging the status quo.

Those chosen were hand-selected and underwent a rigorous vetting process, chosen by a committee of The Knot editors and industry experts and were identified as the next era of leaders in the wedding professional community, spanning five categories: The Innovator, The Advocate, The Connector, The Realist and The Mentor.

Betsy and Becca from Rebecca Rose Events were so kind to share the following about us and our work: “She has an artist’s eye and caring demeanor that makes her a delight to work alongside.”

The Knot Ones to Watch 2023 Hannah Forsberg

We were interviewed and wanted to share a small snippet of it…

The Knot: What sets apart your business?

Hannah Forsberg: What drives my approach, and my artistic voice now has a lot to do with my past. I was born to two people that I’ve never met in China. I had no name, no birthdate, and no information about who I was. The police found me as a newborn on a bench where they brought me to an orphanage. By God’s grace, I was placed in a loving home here in America, and I’m so thankful for that part of my story.

That being said, though, I have grown up not knowing whose smile I share or whose laugh I have, and have experienced some of life’s greatest milestones and happiest moments without having my biological family being a part of it. I have had many moments of wishing for a glimmer of that part of my story, a photograph of where I came from, to better understand my past. It’s a surreal feeling and a longing that has found its way back each year and has given me a sensitivity for the gravity and weight that heritage holds, and the gift that photography truly is.

I now service clients with events taking place all over the country and truly feel grateful to be trusted for the way I see the world.

The Knot: What kind of legacy do you hope to leave in the industry?

Hannah Forsberg: I hope to be remembered as kind, building a business of integrity, and ultimately as one that served my clients and treated my team well. I want to be known for creating art that’s honest and sentimental, serving as an encouragement in the times that matter most.

The Knot: What’s one thing you’re most proud of in your business?

Hannah Forsberg: We’re most proud of the fact that our overall demeanor on a wedding day never changes: we approach every wedding with empathy and warmth, which truly creates an atmosphere that’s calm and allows our clients the space to be present with those that matter most, and in turn, allows for some of the most beautiful, candid moments to unfold.

The Knot: What’s a fun fact about you or your business that many people don’t know?

Hannah Forsberg: We’re a husband and wife team, which creates a truly elevated perspective and experience for our clients that we serve.

Thank you to Hannah Nowack and her team for seeing and believing in what we’re doing and to our friends Rebecca Rose Events for the kind words about us and our work. 🤍
