Eryn & Elijah | Montaluce Winery Dahlonega Session | Atlanta Family Photographer

I met Eryn and Elijah shortly after they were married at Montaluce Winery and Restaurant, a beautiful wedding venue in the north Georgia mountains, last spring at the Cator Woolford Gardens, a gorgeous historic site with beautiful greenery. You might recognize them from this particular session! One of the things that I love so much about being a photographer is having the opportunity to meet new people and hear their stories. Being a photographer also allows me to do a vast amount of work, because at the end of the day what matters most is capturing people, their love, and documenting them as they are in such a way that serves as a tangible reminder of everything a person has walked through that has led them to where they are at this very moment.

One of my favorite things to do is watch my clients not only become dear friends, but also as they transition into growing their families and becoming parents. Since our first initial meeting, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Eryn and Elijah more, and hear more about their story. Elijah is in the military and works in north Georgia, while Eryn is a lawyer and works nearby my house. Eryn texted me this summer to tell me that she was pregnant, and I immediately was SO excited, and got to photograph their pregnancy announcement photos. When she reached out to me again, we knew we had to do something special, and using the very place where Eryn and Elijah vowed to love each other forever in front of their friends and family only made sense. Fast forward a few months, and here we are, and Eryn has the cutest bump, ever.

A funny story is that we had actually originally scheduled Eryn’s session a few days prior, but, in normal Georgia fashion, it had rained for the last week straight, which resulted in dreary skies. Thankfully, we moved it to the next morning, and it was sunny as ever, which is PERFECT for film. 🙂 Eryn’s dress was also originally going to be different, but the morning-of, she realized that her little one grew a little bit too big for her dress. Amazon Prime came in clutch and to the rescue, though, with this BEAUTIFUL red dress (just so happens to work for holiday photos!). You can purchase it by clicking this link.

Their love for Jesus is so evident, and truly, they are some of the kindest people that I’ve met. I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet the both of them and celebrate little baby Mac. She’s SO loved and truly has parents with hearts of gold, and I’m honored to have been invited to document this sweet season of life!
