Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Wedding

Maddie and Gabe’s love story is a tale of serendipity and international romance. Their paths crossed in London while Maddie was studying abroad in Barcelona and Gabe was backpacking through Europe. Their journey led them to a sweet proposal in Costa Rica and culminated in a stunning Jewish wedding at the picturesque Callanwolde Gardens in Atlanta.

A Meeting Across Borders

Their story began in the bustling streets of London, a city far from both their homes. Gabe, immersing himself in the experiences of a backpacking adventure, and Maddie, embracing the culture and education of Barcelona, found a connection that transcended geographical boundaries.

A Costa Rican Proposal

Gabe’s proposal in the lush landscapes of Costa Rica was as romantic as their meeting. Surrounded by natural beauty, the couple decided to embark on a lifetime journey together, setting the stage for their beautiful wedding.

Celebrating Love at Callanwolde Gardens

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, known for its breathtaking beauty and perfectly manicured gardens, became the backdrop for their wedding. The venue was adorned with vibrant florals for the ceremony and wedding party, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere. In contrast, the rest of the decor was elegantly styled with classic white and green floral installations, striking a balance between exuberance and timeless elegance.

Embracing Jewish Traditions

The wedding beautifully incorporated Jewish customs, adding depth and meaning to their celebration. The Ketubah ceremony, the signing of the Jewish marriage contract, was a solemn and significant moment. The Chuppah, symbolizing the home the couple will build together, was stunningly decorated, resonating with the day’s floral theme.

The traditional glass breaking was a memorable moment, symbolizing not only the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem but also the fragility of human relationships. It served as a poignant reminder of the importance of caring for one another in their journey ahead.

A Reception Filled with Joy and Dance

The reception was a lively affair, highlighted by the Hora dance, a popular and joyous Jewish wedding tradition. Guests lifted the couple on chairs, dancing in circles, and celebrating the union with unbridled happiness and communal spirit.

Maddie and Gabe’s wedding was not just a union of two hearts but also a celebration of culture, tradition, and love’s journey across continents. It was a day filled with beautiful traditions, vibrant colors, and the warmth of family and friends, all set against the stunning backdrop of Callanwolde Gardens.
