Shifting

As an entrepreneur, you shift.

Like the tide, you’re pushed and pulled through the mountains and valleys. But you realize, that slowly, over time, you’re not the same person you used to be.

You become comfortable in your own skin.

You recognize your worth, resting in the fact that you’ve paid dearly for every ounce of it.

The things you used to tolerate have become intolerable. When you were once quiet, you are now willing to speak your truth.

You’re done with your trauma stories, being the victim + beating yourself up, and thinking that everything is happening to you.

While you once lived for the approval of others, you’ve now stopped trying to reason with those who are committed to misunderstanding you.

You realize that finally, there is power in honoring your intuition and that some circumstances were never worthy of your time, energy, or focus and that the only person you’re truly competing with, is you.

It’s all heart-wrenching, soul-crushing work, these lessons.

It’s the process of unlearning and re-learning.

But man, it’s a beautiful, beautiful thing to be able to stand in alignment with who you are and have peace and freedom in celebrating how far you’ve come.
