Deanna and Taylor were wed at the incredible Montaluce Winery and Restaurant, located just minutes away from downtown Dahlonega in the North Georgia area. What I love so much about this sweet couple is their joy for life, love for their families, and care they have for one another. During our initial call, Deanna kept saying how Taylor was her best friend, and that after meeting in Atlanta, moving up to Philadelphia, to Virginia, and back to Atlanta, they were finally ready to make things official and start this next chapter together.

Deanna hired Shelley Legg from Chancey Charm to help coordinate her wedding and make sure that it went smoothly. If there’s anything that I think is so important about having a wedding, it would be number one, hiring a planner so that your family can enjoy the day but also making sure that your vendors mesh well with your personalities. Shelley’s calming presence was exactly what everyone needed!

When I asked Deanna how she would describe her wedding, she said that above all, she wanted there to be a focus on her family and for the entire day to be elegant. Without a doubt, the soft blue bridesmaid dresses from Azazie paired incredibly well with Deanna’s classic gown with lace topper. Hints of blue were also incorporated throughout the day, with soft blues within the invitation suite, ribbons, and in the hand-stitched handkerchiefs that were gifted to her loved ones. Not only were there sentimental gifts and letters exchanged, but Deanna also kept a photo of her loved ones who could not be there in her pocket.

Come ceremony time, Deanna was walked down the aisle by her father and grandfather, and the two exchanged vows with the vineyard as a backdrop. There was not a dry eye in sight! After the ceremony was completed, the bridal party and the newlyweds took photos together during golden hour before dancing the night away. As a surprise to the guests, not only did Taylor hop on the drum set (to which Deanna kept exclaiming, “That’s my husband! That’s my husband!”) but the newlyweds had a firework show play just before the last song and said their goodbyes and left with a helicopter exit. This day was truly one for the books and I feel so honored to have been given the privilege to photograph this beautiful wedding day.
