Earlier this year, I had the joy of traveling out west for one of my favorite weddings to date. The photos we took of this sweet couple are unlike any of the celebrations we document here on the east coast and in Atlanta. There’s just something about the light that the west coast has, that’s truly something else and a photographer’s dream. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, this summer wedding at Carmel Valley Ranch was a vibrant and joyful testament to love, commitment, and the beauty of nature.

Love blossomed under the summer sun in the heart of California’s scenic Carmel Valley as Lizzie and Jake exchanged vows with their closest family and friends. The wedding day began with the soft glow of morning light as Lizzie and Jake prepared for their special day surrounded by their closest friends and family. Laughter, beauty, and anticipation filled the air as they shared precious moments with their wedding party, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Lizzie and Jake’s celebration was designed to be a vibrant ode to summer. The color palette, featuring vibrant oranges and joyful summery hues, set the tone for a day filled with happiness and warmth. The couple exchanged their heartfelt vows with the majestic mountains providing a breathtaking backdrop, a symbol of the enduring strength of their love.

The reception and cocktail hour were nothing short of spectacular. A sailcloth tent adorned with lush greenery and fresh blooms created an enchanting atmosphere that drew guests’ eyes upward to appreciate the property’s grandeur. Two custom installations displayed guests’ names and table numbers, adding a personal touch to the decor.

As the evening progressed, Lizzie and Jake made a grand entrance that set the stage for an unforgettable night of celebration. Heartfelt dances, including the bride and groom’s first dance, moved guests and created lasting memories. That evening was comprised of a live band and a tailored playlist, symbolizing the couple’s excitement for the journey ahead. Laughter, cheers, and dance moves filled the air as guests celebrated the love and union of Lizzie and Jake.

As the night drew to a close, the newlyweds bid farewell to their loved ones with an intimate send-off, marking the beginning of their journey to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. It was a perfect ending to a day that had been filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.
