Garrett + Shelby

I am at a loss for words. I am humbled and in awe and so very grateful for these two who gave me a chance. I am ecstatic. My first wedding (hope to write about that, soon)! Having a seventeen-year-old photograph a wedding is definitely not the norm, that's for sure. August 2 was so so full of joy & a sweet, tender love. Garrett and Shelby were wed in the church they cherish so deeply, surrounded by so many dear ones who were rejoicing with them, praising God alongside them.

Garrett and Shelby, thank you, thank you, for giving me a chance, and for asking me to photograph your wedding. Thank you for trusting me, and for this privilege you've entrusted me with. You both have a special place in my heart and I could not have asked for a better first wedding. For now, a preview.

shelby & garrett

recognize these two from anywhere? only a few days after those photos were taken, they got engaged! after being rained out at least three other times, i'm so excited to share their official engagement photos. we ended up getting a bit lost in the woods and on the trails after it rained, & i wouldn't have traded a second for anything else. shelby & garrett, i'm so grateful that you two trust me enough to shoot your wedding in august. i can't wait. shelbygarrett-1

Shelby & Garrett

There's something about these two that makes you want to get to know them. The way they look at each other and Shelby's hearty laugh and Garrett's servant heart. These two share such a sweet, sweet tenderness...you know, the kind that makes you smile when you think about it. Our session was filled with coffee sips at Copper Coin, arm wrestling, tender looks, and warm embraces. I'm grateful for these two and their willingness to face the freezing cold, because it takes champs to do that and make being in front of a camera look so easy. This is why I love what I do. _DSC7766-2
